Quick tip: Each User Must have a Valid Email Address

Its very important that each ShotRunner user have a correct email address in the system. Otherwise there is no way for a user to reset his/her password (we don't have access to any user passwords), and most importantly, the user won't receive any email notifications from ShotRunner. This could mean that the user is never notified of discussion topics, work assignments, or approval workflows.

The key function of ShotRunner is to keep communications flowing, and this requires a valid email address for each user.

For this same reason, it is also critical that each user have their own login profile. Not only does sharing a profile violate the terms of use, but it really makes it impossible for the system to function as intended: there is no way to properly assign work and follow-up items, and no way for users to respond properly via email (who responded?) and you can never really be sure who is doing what when you look at the project history.

Remember to validate each user's email address for best results!
