Here are some additional things that we have noticed from using
ShotRunner on the web series Aidan 5 (end of episode 101 and the start
of episode 102):

TASKS:
1) Ability to delete a task, currently appears you cannot

FORUMS:
2) Most recent entry should be on top or ability to sort (Ascending / Descending)
3) Attached images should open in separate windows

FILES:
4) Ability to select existing files (images) as thumbnails for Sequences, Shots, Tasks, etc.) - dynamic or specified image resize for
thumbnails. Avoids uploading extra image files for thumbnails.

PAGES:
5) Have the ability to delete a page.

PERFORMANCE:
6) Currently runs somewhat slow / discernable delays when switching between sections (Sequences, Shots, etc.) - Platform: Mac 10.5.6 & 10.6 Firefox v3.5.2 -- Seems a little faser in Safari v4.0.3

SEQUENCES PAGE:
7) The ability to reorder the Sequences is nice though clunky in implementation. Would like to see reordering accomplished the same
drag-and-drop way that items within Pages are done.

Cheers,
Tobias

Hi Tobias, excellent feedback! I took the liberty of numbering your items above.

    1) You actually can, its just well hidden. The trick is to go to the task page, and there is a delete link in the control bar. (See picture.) For some reason I've been leery of putting 'delete' links in certain tabular views. Let me know if you think it should be more prominent.

    2) Agree. What I'm thinking here is that the threads would sort so that the thread with the most recent reply is on top, then within each thread, instead of showing the thread starter when the thread is collapsed, show the last reply. When you expand the thread, it would still be ordered with the latest reply at the bottom to make it easier to read.

    3) Open in a whole new window? Or in a popup lightbox with next/previous buttons?

    4) Yes, absolutely. This is coming.

    5) Agree. Oversight.

    6) We monitor performance constantly. Looking back over the last 24 hours I can only see 4 requests that were over 400ms. I will say that the current file management sucks the life out of the rest of the app -- and we are changing that out. Stay tuned. Let me know if this continues to be a problem.

    7) Agree. I've been dragging my feet on this because I absolutely hate the sequences index page and want to redo the whole thing. Probably should do something in the interim though.

I will add these items to the development list, and wait to hear back from you on #1, 2 and 3.

    Cheers,
    Cameron

Forgot the picture of the task page with the delete link.

In reference to number 4, as a work around I have been clicking on the image in the file manager to view it, copy the link to it, then paste that link into the thumbnail link for the shot. Wha-la no extra upload.

Inventive solution. We are going to have to figure out how to convert these when we upgrade though. ;-)

The new file manager stuff is shaping up to be pretty sweet. I'll need to put up a preview on the blog or something.
