I love the way you can update the status of shots from a drop
down list, without having to enter on each shot page to update the
status.
I think that this should be implemented on the tasks if
possible.

This is a great idea. I will leave this issue open and try to get to it as soon as possible. We are in the middle of some big infrastructure changes, but I will do my best.
