Global Forum
When I post to the forum it sends everyone an email, however it
does not contain the body of the reply....nor a link to the new
reply.
So I have no idea of what actually just happened.
Once more when I click the link in the email (http://egm.shotrunner.com/topics/1/posts/new)
If I cancel, it throws me an error and still sends me an email, but
with a blank reply field.
I'll tack this on as an added suggestion: If you could, change the Title of the Reply to a different color, just being bold is not enough to discern from the title and the body.

Hi Brooks,
Yeah, this forum thing needs some help. We are trying to replace the "News" on the Dashboard with something that is a little more interesting and flexible, but this doesn't hit the mark yet. What we need to do (and my developer working on this has been out for a few days) is:
I will have another of the developers take a look at the bugs.
Thanks,
Cameron

Brooks,
Note that there are also project-level notes -- I wonder if those would be more useful than the forums? The forums tab is across all projects. Just a thought.

Seems like you got it down.
Again, yet another feature I missed.
I did notice that you went through a series of issues with the API and MS Project...that is what our Production Manager is use to using and I would be interested in whatever comes of that.
I love the Gantt chart idea...let me know.

Brooks,
If you are handy with Python, then I can send you the Python API. There is a sample of exporting all the tasks in a format that MS Project 2003 can import -- or so I'm told.

I'm ok at it....but I'd love to give the export a try.

Brooks, I've been trying to send you the API to both the emails addresses I have for y ou, but your email server keeps kicking it back.
Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 Message Denied: Restricted attachment (Mode: normal) (state 18).
I will post it as a Knowledge Base article.

OK, its in the Knowledge Base.
The file you want is: python 302_write_csv_tasks.py
To run it, simply go:
And you will get an output file: tasks.csv
Another user has used this output to import into MS Project 2003 with good results.

Apparently we can't receive useful attachments.
Only spam and junk mail.
If it's a zip rename it to something other than .zip (not an executable)
Otherwise I will be on the look out in the forums.

Brooks, just a heads up that the issues with Global Forums were fixed overnight. Just need to acceptance test and work into a production release cycle...
