ShotRunner v0.95 Update, 23-Jan-2010

Hey everyone,

This is a release notice for v0.95, which was pushed to
production today.

Announcements

We continue to grow! -- ShotRunner continues to pick up steam. In
the last few months we've started tracking two new feature films,
a music video, an episodic web series, and several commercials.
Also, fxphd.com [http://www.fxphd.com], the premier on-line VFX
training experience, started production on their new short film,
Moving Day
[http://www.fxphd.com/blog/750/shooting-started-on-moving-day], being worked on by fxphd post-grads from around the world.

Try the 'Support' link -- Its easy to miss, but right up there in
the upper right corner of your ShotRunner page is the Support
link. You can enter a problem, question or suggestion without
even leaving the site. You can also browse the Knowledge Base
articles, like New User First Steps
[https://shotrunner.tenderapp.com/faqs/first-steps/new-user-first-st...=] which shows you how to set your timezone.

New Features

Its been over 3 months since the v0.94 update, but we've actually
pushed out nine "point" releases (v0.94.1 through v0.94.9)
containing over 25 bug-fixes and 30 feature improvements. Almost
350 code revisions in all. Here are some of the highlights:

Quickly Select User Groups -- When you are creating notes, there
is a new checkbox for each team that lets you select all the
users in that team.

Forums Paginate -- Used to be that no matter how many forum
messages you had, they always displayed on one page. Now, if you
go over ten threads, we split them up into pages.

Email Replies Clear Workitems -- If you are responding to a
'submit work' or 'request response' workflow via email, we will now clear the workitem for you.

Status Update for all Objects -- We have always had a status
'Update' link for shots that let you update the status of a shot along with a brief explanation. Now this has been extended to
Sequences, Elements, Tasks and Assets.

Email Notification Improvements -- We now include the project
identifier and note title in the subject line of email
attachments. We also now include an unsubscribe link in emails
so you can quickly stop notifications on a particular thread.

Easy Thread Subscribe/Unsubscribe -- There is now a little
envelope icon to the right of each thread title. Click on it one
to subscribe to a thread, click on it again to unsubscribe.

Restyled Notes -- We cleaned up and restyled the forum notes.
Hope you like the new layout.

Preferences -- We have a new preferences/settings system. It
handles settings and preferences at the system, project and user
level.

Lastly, we have a new, experimental tabbed box layout that you
can see on the Assets show page. Check it out and let me know
what you think.
